Happy Thanksgiving! Early look at the storm.

This morning the high-resolution model is showing a similar signature to a couple of weeks back (that I ignored at the time) when the areas south of Durango from Marvel to Ignacio got more snow than most of the rest of us. In the higher elevations from Purgatory north first flakes could break out anytime after 1 pm. Let me know if you see anything! Here is what the model shows for 1 pm, this precip is light enough it may not hit the ground.

Fast forward to 7 pm here is the simulated radar. The snow picks up in lower elevations.

7pm

All said and done here is what the model is predicting for accumulations. Yesterday I posted my thoughts on accumulations, 0-2″ below 7,200, 2-5″ above 7,300. Of course, areas high in the La Platas could get considerably more.

I will do another post around before 2 with final thoughts.
