Consistency rules

2 pm

The Euro has been so very consistent on this and the next storm, it is refreshing to see very little change on its last run before the storm arrives. It has increased the overall totals just very slightly.

I need to go a little conservative with the in-town totals for Durango, Hermosa, Bayfield, Ignacio, Mancos, and Breen as well as the D Bar K area I will stick with 3-6″. This is a warm storm and the disappointment factor with mid-morning melting is a concern, but that range allows for some of that.

Pagosa Springs, Forest Lakes, Bear Creek, Rafter J, Lake Durango Shenandoah, Trappers and Long Hollow, Dwests, Falls Creek, Edgemont, Durango Hills, Forest Groves 5-8″.

Hesperus above 7,800′, Durango Ridge Ranch, Los Ranchitos, Lemon, Tween/Enchanted Forest, Vallecito, Rockwood, Glacier, Purgatory and Telluride 7-12″

Wolf Creek 10-15″

I will update in a couple of hours if there is anything to talk about after the NWS reaffirms or adds to their advisories or brings something important up in the Area Forecast Discussion.

Love the summary and the simplified best guesses for storm totals! I realize this is weather and won’t hold you to it! Thanks for keeping it real…and fun.

Nice job. Just discovered you this morning—what a perfect time—and your postings have been cheerful, insightful and much needed in our neglected sanctum sanctorum.
