It’s not over until it’s over

Just a quick update on the slow-moving storm.

The main takeaway from my update yesterday afternoon should have been that the models struggled all day long with the timing of this system. I also talked about bands of snow setting up and that was why I had such a range in my precipitation amounts.

There is currently a heavier band moving west to east (5:45 am). I am not overly concerned with hitting the minimum amounts I had yesterday with the exception of the lowest elevations below 6,500′ feet.

Both the models and the forecasters have struggled with this system so far, sometimes you just have to sit back a let it do what it is going to do.  There should be a period when the colder air gets involved and the winds pick up.

Thank you for all you do. Thought you would like to know. We live in Edgemont Ranch and woke up to 6″ on the ground and it’s still snowing. 👏🏼👏🏼
