EXCEEDING A FOOT POSSIBLE.
* WHERE…IN UTAH, LA SAL AND ABAJO MOUNTAINS. IN COLORADO,
UNCOMPAHGRE PLATEAU AND DALLAS DIVIDE, NORTHWEST SAN JUAN
MOUNTAINS AND SOUTHWEST SAN JUAN MOUNTAINS, INCLUDING RABBIT
EARS AND LIZARD HEAD PASSES.
* WHEN…FROM SATURDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH SUNDAY AFTERNOON.
* IMPACTS…TRAVEL COULD BE VERY DIFFICULT. PATCHY BLOWING SNOW
COULD SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCE VISIBILITY, ESPECIALLY ON RIDGE
TOPS AND MOUNTAIN PASSES.
I think they are going to need more leeway to extend the advisory into Sunday night. I also think it is just a little early to put your plow on your truck at the lower elevations. The Euro finally came around like we hoped but we don’t want to get over-hyped just yet. I am not a glass half empty guy, but issuing a Watch based on one of those mountain towns getting six inches of snow is not a stretch or a huge commitment. I will update later today with the model amounts.
