On Friday we’ll quickly warm up with most temps in the lower and middle elevation areas in the 80s. There is a better chance for a few pop-up showers late in the day tomorrow, especially above 7,500 feet.
On Saturday afternoon there is a better chance of widespread showers with a good chance of thunderstorms developing later in the afternoon and evening. At the moment it looks like Sunday’s best chances of precip will be earlier in the day.
For lower elevations, the latest projected precipitation totals are relatively low, although we are in the middle of our driest month so this is more expected than unexpected.
Here is the GFS
And the Euro
Notable differences with how they handle the mountain precipitation. It will be interesting to see how future model runs handle this.
I will do another short update Friday afternoon and Saturday morning with the latest models runs. Stay cool out there and thanks for following!
