Yesterday I talked about a storm clipping our northern forecast area on Saturday. Telluride and the 550 passes will get a heavy dusting of 3-7 inches of snow. I increased these amounts based on my perception of how high the snow-liquid ratios will be.
Here is a blended model forecast for total liquid precipitation on Saturday.
Multiply these amounts 15 or 20 to determine snowfall accumulations. 15-1 applies to 9,000 feet. 20-1 for 10,500 or higher. The .2″ accumulation is for Telluride Regional Airport. The darkest green colors indicate .5″ of liquid-equivalent precipitation.
