Sunday should be a pleasant day. Temperatures will be similar to yesterday. Clouds should be decreasing throughout the day. Between noon and 6 pm, wind gusts will make a return. Gusts of 20 to 25 mph, with isolated gusts up to 30 mph will be possible this afternoon. I don’t expect any thunderstorms over the area today.
As I mentioned Friday, showers return to the area on Monday. Over the last 48 hours, the models have slowed the development of the showers by 6 to 8 hours. Showers will first start in the higher elevations tomorrow morning. Showers should become more widespread by mid to late morning.
The models are in slightly better agreement on precipitation amounts. The Euro has fallen more in line with the other models. The exception is the GFS which is focusing on the northern portions of the forecast area. If the GFS is correct, little to no rain will fall in the lower and middle elevation areas. We’ll see.
