Time is not on my side today, we will get back to the maps tomorrow. Yesterday numerous showers fell north of Hermosa as well as areas west of 550. Most reports were in the .30″ to .60″ range with a couple as high as an inch. Storms will be slower to generate today, but there is a good chance we could get some storms into the evening, maybe even overnight, we’ll see.
Many areas will end up with ABOVE normal precipitation for June. In addition to what has fallen the last few days, the next couple of days look like the chances increase for more widespread heavy showers across the forecast area. June is the driest month of the year, so it is not difficult to reach above normal levels.
The next few days are going to have a monsoonal signature to the moisture. I am hesitant to say that it will stick around for the rest of the summer, but the next few days look good.
Thanks for all of the reports yesterday. Keep them coming. Next update Tuesday, thanks for following and supporting the site!
