10/9 Saturday 8:20 am
Most of the showers that have occurred last night and this morning were under the radar’s vision. For those of you wondering, I have not heard an update on our local pursuit of a radar site. Last I heard they were hoping it would be late 2022. If someone knows differently shoot me an email.
For the most part, the rain totals so far have been 0.25″ or less across a wide portion of the forecast area. There have been a few nice surprises. Silverton in town got slammed with 0.92″. West of Telluride, Deep Creek Mesa has had 0.62″. The “Bullseye” northwest of Hermosa has had 0.52″. Durango West 2 has had 0.45″. There were several other locations between Wildcat and Hesperus, as well as areas around Purgatory with totals ranging from 0.30″ to 0.40″.
Showers are going to be winding down in most areas this morning. There is a chance that showers could redevelop this evening or overnight as another disturbance moves through the area.
Check back this afternoon for the latest on next week’s storm. Thanks for following and supporting the site!
