Storm Recap

3/11/22 Friday 8 am

Yesterday I had to give myself a digital timeout. I was closely watching the stalled frontal boundary southwest of the forecast area and I found myself wishcasting it to move back north. Unfortunately, that did not happen.

The storm was good for Telluride and Wolf Creek. It also deposited 3 to 4 inches across some of the southern portions of the forecast area from Ignacio to Gem Village. Telluride exceeded my forecast reporting 15 inches as did Wolf Creek with 22 inches. Purgatory fell flat with 4 inches.

There are a couple of chances of snow this week. The first will favor Telluride Sunday night into Monday. The next will be on Wednesday, at the moment it appears it will favor Telluride and Wolf Creek.

Tomorrow morning I will post an update on the snowpack. Thanks for following and supporting the site!
