Unsettled Weather Sunday And Monday

3/19/22 Saturday 7:45 am

The weather models tend to perform worse in the shoulder seasons of spring and fall. This was evidenced by the widespread forecast for 3-6 inches of snow for Telluride for Wednesday and Thursday that turned into 14 inches.

So while I can say that many areas will get some precipitation on Sunday and Monday, I am not confident which areas will get the most, neither are the models at this point.

Scattered snow showers should break out in the higher elevations after noon on Sunday. Light rain showers are possible later in the day in the lower elevations. The rain may change over to snow by 10 pm in some of the mid-elevation areas. In the lower elevations, rain may change over to wet snow or a mix in the middle of the night.

Hopefully, a clearer picture will emerge over the next 24 hours. My next update will be Sunday morning. Thanks for following and supporting the site!
