The models continue to show a change to cooler and wetter conditions beginning late Monday/early Tuesday. Looking at the longer-range models, it appears below-average temperatures will continue at least until the middle of the month.
At the moment, the GFS and Canadian are showing a colder second system coming in on Thursday night through Saturday with scattered showers redeveloping on Sunday. The GFS shows a weak system coming in Thursday night which moves out of the area by Friday midday.
I expect Winter Weather Advisories and or Winter Storm Warnings for the higher elevations at or above 9,000 feet this week. Rain and a rain-snow mix can be expected across most of the rest of the forecast area. Here are the latest model precipitation forecasts.
