As expected a Winter Weather Advisory was issued this morning above 9,000 feet.

* WHAT…SNOW IS EXPECTED ABOVE 9000 FEET. TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 5 TO 10 INCHES WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE OVER THE SAN JUAN MOUNTAINS.
* WHERE…PORTIONS OF NORTHWEST, SOUTHWEST AND WEST-CENTRAL COLORADO.
* WHEN…FROM MIDNIGHT MONDAY NIGHT TO NOON MDT WEDNESDAY.
* IMPACTS…TRAVEL COULD BE VERY DIFFICULT.
Pueblo NWS issued an advisory for Wolf Creek for 6 to 11 inches.
Overnight, the models aligned on the timing and duration of the first system which is beginning to push onshore in Central California.
There is still uncertainty regarding the second system due in late Thursday. For now, I am going to focus on the first system.
Unlike the maps that I have been posting for days, here are the forecast maps for precipitation through late Wednesday. I will address the second system on Wednesday and Thursday.
