Storm Wrap Up

4/13/22 Wednesday 11:45 am

As I expected Tuesday morning, the storm failed to meet expectations set out in the Winter Storm Warning. That being said, a few areas in the northern portion of the forecast area were favored.

Ouray:  5 inches

South of Ouray near the snow shed:  11inches

Red Mountain Pass:  8 inches

Molas Pass:  6 inches

Coal Bank Pass:  4 inches

Wolf Creek:  3 inches

There is a slight chance of snow showers Saturday night in the higher elevations of the northern forecast area. Besides that, it looks like the next best chance for a return to stormy weather will be after 4/23. Temps will start to rebound by Friday and we’ll warm up for the weekend.
