No news is good news when it comes to my forecasts. Last night I said, ” I will check in tomorrow, but I don’t expect any changes to my forecasts unless there is a major development for Wednesday into Thursday morning.”
I have some news. Overnight, all of the models shifted the storm track considerably south of the area. We’re not going to get completely missed, but I am thinking my forecast will be off by as much as 50% for the higher end of my ranges, perhaps more in the lower elevations.
I don’t do this very often, I usually let the chips fall where they may. But I can’t do that this time. It will still be snowy today, this won’t be a complete miss, but the models are no longer showing a period of heavy snow overnight Wednesday into Thursday morning.
That is all I have for now…Could the updated models be wrong, of course, they could. Welcome to being a forecaster…
