Monday Morning Update

4/3/23 Monday 7 am

Strong winds will develop this afternoon. Blowing dust may affect respiratorily sensitivity this afternoon. If you are one of those people, you may want to get out early to run any errands. Rain showers and snow will move in later today/tonight. Much colder air will move in behind the frontal passage on Tuesday. I will talk more about precipitation totals this afternoon, but I am expecting similar totals to last week, but a lot more wind.

There have been a couple of changes made regarding the warnings and advisories I mentioned yesterday. The high-elevation areas of our forecast area were left out of the Winter Weather Advisories and High Wind Warnings in yesterday’s morning forecast package from the NWS.  That has been corrected with a new Winter Weather Advisory for our high-elevation areas. They also highlight the wind gusts that will occur with the storm with a new Wind Advisory and High Wind Warning.
