Models are all over the board on total precipitation. The European, GFS and Canadian models show almost all of it falling Sunday into Monday. Here is the output for the entire weekend from these three models. These are all in liquid precipitation. The snow level will start high (9,500′), but lower on Sunday.
GFS
Canadian
The German model is an outlier it shows the majority of the precipitation falling on Saturday. This total is through Saturday night late.
Typically, I would kick this run to the curb. However, NOAA’s NBM blended model evenly distributes the precipitation between Saturday and Sunday. Here is its total by Monday morning.
Despite the confusion, I am very encouraged with the totals.
I will post again this afternoon, hopefully, the new model runs will shed some insight.
