New Model Runs
The morning model runs trended much further south and west with the storm. Also, the Canadian and Euro both show a lot of leftovers which keeps the precipitation around for a couple of days longer. It was such a dramatic shift I wanted to share them.

At what point do we believe the models? Not just yet, I would like to see 2-3 more days of this and I would like to see the GFS agree on the southerly storm track.
Most of you have seen that the Ice fire is now around 500 acres. It could grow dramatically from burn out operations in the coming days. I can say that if either the Canadian or Euro is correct with this morning’s model runs, all fires in the state will be out next week.

A follower sent me a video he obtained from a family friend, that was shot inside of the helicopter that evacuated hikers as the fire was growing yesterday. Thanks to Dustin Ridgway for sharing this.
