Wednesday Update

10/1/25 Wednesday 3:45 am (57 days until Thanksgiving)

Woohoo! I know it’s early, but I am up by choice, on my own, catching up on my stuff I have been putting off, so I WILL be able to enjoy the holidays!

My confidence is increasing that the bottom of the West Coast trough may have an impact on our weather from Friday evening through Saturday.

Until then, said trough and a blocked system to our east may squeeze us. This should result in slightly warmer temps (especially on Thursday) and afternoon windy conditions today and tomorrow.

Let’s jump ahead to Friday. When we have systems like this (what would be a Winter Storm later in the season), we need to remember that model timing is usually too fast. The storm track also still has a couple of days to settle. As I said the other day, I hope that this one will drop even further south than the models are forecasting before moving into our area.

All of that being said, the models decided to speed this one up over the last 24 hours, go figure. Be flexible, as things could change, but I still feel Saturday will be the main day impacted if it reaches our area.

Maps in motion. Beginning Friday at 5 pm, ending Saturday at 11 pm.

Stay tuned and have a great day, I know I will!
