Big Totals

4:30 pm

Every model points towards heavier snow bands moving in after dark and setting up overnight some may last until midday. The storm is still anchored well to our west we have been just on the fringe of it most of the day.

Here is where the main energy of the storm is located as of 3:30 pm. Flagstaff was expecting an additional 18-24 inches between noon today and 5 pm tomorrow. Prescott is getting some very impressive totals as well.

There is a huge moisture pool to our west and southwest and some portion of it should make its way into our area after 9 or 10 pm this evening.

That pin is Durango. The greener the tone the moister the air, orange is dry. Big totals keep coming in from western areas as well as the northern portions of the 240 corridor near Helen’s store.

Here there has been noticeably lighter snow this afternoon but if the models are correct that should change in the next few hours. We are right at 19 3/4 inches for the storm total.

I am anxious to hear some of the others, hopefully, it picked up out east.

Next update tomorrow morning.

It’s not been very impressive yet in Forest Lakes. I’m at 7,500′ and have had 8-9″ so far since last yesterday. Maybe I’m jaded after this past weekend.
