Purgatory sent out an email saying that there are “8 inches on the forecast for this weekend and early next week! “
That is a bold forecast because the majority of the snow, if it happens, would fall Monday and Tuesday next week. As we know 5 to 7-day forecasts have a habit of changing.
The other problem is at the moment, there is not a strong model consensus regarding this storm. The GFS model was pretty excited, but seems to be changing a bit every model run. I am tracking this event and have not mentioned it yet, because enough factors have not come together to increase my confidence.
Could it happen, absolutely! Will it happen? Too early to tell. As soon I feel better about it, I will post.
