Weekend Update

3/28/25 Friday 5 am

Light showers and snow showers will develop between 4 and 8 p.m. today. Snow levels will start off high, generally at or above 8,800 feet, but may drop to around 8,000 feet by Saturday morning.

The “storm” looks relatively predictable, with the highest totals falling from Red Mountain to Telluride. The outlier is the European model, which shows higher totals for Coal Bank and Molas. We’ll see, but as I said, it is the outlier model.

Two to four inches will fall in most mountain locations, with an outside chance of a surprise four to six inches in some places.

The rain forecast is trickier. Most locations receive less than 0.30 inches, and some areas may get much less or none.

If you get missed, don’t worry. As I alluded to last week, big changes are coming next week! I’ll have more on that on Sunday or Monday morning.
