7/27/25 Sunday 5 am
Good Morning, Happy Sunday!
Today’s weather is expected to be similar to yesterday’s, but even drier. Fire Danger is high and will continue to be until midweek.
It appears that we may have a slight chance of showers on Monday afternoon. The heavier, short-lived monsoonal flow is expected to arrive on Wednesday. With all of that said, these models are so inconsistent that I do not have confidence in a forecast longer than 36 hours out.
The major monsoon story this year has been East vs. West. The flow this year has been decidedly East, not like Pagosa, but Denver to Texas. It just happens that way sometimes. That does not make our situation any better. I am reading a lot about the upcoming winter. These stories start coming out earlier and earlier everywhere, much like the preseason football. I won’t attempt a winter post before the first week in September, which will be here soon.
Hopefully, I will be caught up on sending out “thank yous” to all of you awesome people by then. I used to be able to sit down and knock them all out in one sitting. At the current rate, it will be another 5 days. Please don’t be offended if you haven’t been acknowledged; it is coming. People added many personal notes, and I read them all. I appreciate the kind words; they are very comforting.
Next update Monday morning.
