Winter Storm Watches Issued

7 am

Based on the overnight model runs a new set of Watches were issued. This is very encouraging but there is a high degree of uncertainty at this point. IF the storm track holds these amounts will be too low for lower elevations, so believe it or not given last nights model runs they have been conservative with this initial watch (for lower elevations). The evening GFS run was not in line with the overnight run. Notice the amounts for the higher elevations are not much higher than the lower elevations. At this point, the higher elevations look like they will do better than the last storm, but it appears the lower elevations be in play once again.
