It is going to be a busy day. Snow reports are coming in this morning. Purgatory reported 2 inches in 24 hours. However, reports from around Purgatory were higher. 4 inches were reported just a couple of miles south.
Telluride also reported 2 inches. Silverton reported 2 inches as well. Rico reported 1.5 inches. Wolf Creek had 6 inches and I had a report of 5.5 inches on Coal Bank Pass. The best is yet to come!
I have the latest GFS run to share with you as well as several of the latest high-resolution models. The Canadian and new Euro will be covered in my Noon update.
GFS liquid equivalent
NAM 3km operational
NAM 3km from a different provider
NBM blended model
NDFD blended model
WPC blended model
Just some subtle differences among the high-resolution models.
In my noon update, I will try to address the timing of the onset of heavy precipitation. In my late-day update, I will cover the forecast discussion as well as any updates to the watches, warnings, and/or advisories.
