Another day, another round of scattered showers is possible for higher elevations across the forecast area, as well as lower elevations of Archuleta County. Those scattered showers could extend over to areas around Bayfield, Forest Lakes, Lemon, and Vallecito.

SCT-Scattered showers. SL-Slight chances. LKL-Showers Likely
I bumped up the northern portions of the forecast area to SCT even though the model shows SL.
Yesterday, we had LKL for the La Platas, and I received reports that the forecast was verified with heavy rain and hail. One could assume similar conditions around Wolf Creek Pass for today.
Drier air is still on the way, but it may wait until Friday. It’s early, but I am starting to see signs of more traditional monsoonal flow affecting our area by mid-next week!
