New Winter Storm Watches issued

Don’t tell me you had already given up on the second storm. Remember what I said about the cold air already being in place? I will elaborate on these later today. They have the 4-8″ for lower elevations

...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY
EVENING...

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8
  inches possible.

* WHERE...Four Corners/Upper Dolores River, Animas River Basin and
  San Juan River Basin, including Cortez, Durango and Pagosa
  Springs.

* WHEN...From late tonight through Friday evening.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel could be very difficult. The
  hazardous conditions could impact the morning and evening
  commutes on Friday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Watch means there is potential for significant
snow, sleet or ice accumulations that may impact travel. Continue
to monitor the latest forecasts.

This is where it gets tricky in my mind, but as I said stay tuned.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO
MIDNIGHT MST FRIDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 12 inches
  expected with the greatest amounts on south and southeast facing
  slopes.

* WHERE...Southwest San Juan Mountains, including Coal Bank and
  Molas Passes on Highway 550.

* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to midnight MST Friday night.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slushy, snowpacked and icy road
  conditions. This will make travel difficult tonight and Friday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads
and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
