9/14/23 Thursday 3 pm
After a slightly less eventful day yesterday, showers and widespread thunderstorms are occurring throughout the forecast area. So far, ther amounts range from 0.10 to 0.75 inches. Not a bad start! Showers will continue into the early evening then we will see a lull until later tonight and in to tomorrow morning. A disturbance currently located in western Utah, will move through our area, and we may see some late night/early morning showers and thunderstorms. These should continue throughout the day tomorrow. Snow levels should bounce between 12,600 and 12,000 feet throughout tomorrow afternoon. If you see fresh snow send me a picture!
For those of you attending Blue and Brews expect scattered afternoon showers on Saturday. However, the showers appear they will be much lighter than what we have been experiencing. Temps will remain cool. Sunday there should only be a slight chance of isolated showers. Showers will return next week, and we could see more significant snow, at slightly lower elevations by next weekend (9/23-24).
It looks like the worst of Hurricane Lee will spare most of the populated areas of New England. The worst of the conditions will be felt in Maine from Bar Harbor to the coastal Canadian border.
My next update will be Friday morning.
